in our particular case, a tool for large companies building apps for Apple platforms, if we MIT-licensed the part that we are building to secure funding for the project, we’d have a hard time building a small source of reveulnue. So I wonder if the story would be different if the market was another one and larger.

I amazed by how Ghost managed to build a financially viable open source project with an MIT licensed. What do you think was key in that?
- The size of the market?
- The chunk of the market that’s willing to pay for hosting?
- Its marketplace of themes?
I’d have expected MIT to make things tricky. @npub1d2v…0l89 curious to know more about it ☺️
