I totally get the argument that media is making a mountain of a molehill, but the molehill is actually a foothill. We know where it leads. We have to bail and hope for the best. Next stop was Shotwell’s where I spent many nights about 20 years ago. Had a great chat with the current owners, David and Tom, where we reminisced about the bars history and I even shared some details from before their time.

I was born to a family of reckless hippies who, after spending many years roaming, settled into being far-right, conservative Christians. I've had all the indoctrination, and I'm screwed up in numerous ways, but at least I know that trans people are who they say they are. It's not rocket science.

My town lets you request street trees be planted anywhere you can keep an eye on them and water if needed. I am responsible for four trees on my block, and just requested three more. It's great to know that I'm literally throwing shade.
