The vets gave us a new appointment for later in the day and a sedative in tablet form for Rascal to take 90 minutes before the next appointment.
The tablet hadn’t taken effect by the time it got to the second appointment, and it was basically take two of the earlier appointment. So now he has another appointment for Friday to be fully sedated so they’re actually able to take the blood sample.

Wait, they previously tried to merge 20 years ago and was blocked due to competition concerns and now they’re trying it again?
I don’t know how much market share they have but I’m not from the US, and I’ve heard of them, so I would imagine it’s a decent chunk. Seems like it should be blocked again.

My son is obsessed with level crossings (not trains or cars, actual level crossings) and he occasionally likes to watch videos of them on YouTube. A bit odd for a 4 year-old but whatever makes him happy!
Anyway, was watching a video and out of nowhere he pointed at the iPad and said “You silly c…ar!”
The way he said it seemed like he was going to say another “C” word. He’s never even heard that word but it absolutely floored my wife and I had to walk into the garden. 🤣

The death of Arthur Morgan in RDR2. The way you get attached to his character over the course of the game as his personality changes due to him getting sick, it’s one of the best character arcs I’ve seen in a game.

EA WRC - TGT Championship - Event 3 of 3 - Central Europe
This week's gameplay from the latest event in #TheGamersTavern EA WRC Championship!
Based in Central Europe (Germany maybe?), the Subaru Impreza 1995 was very fun to drive. For good periods of time during that event, it felt like myself and the car were as one. Sometimes we were not. 😂

I wouldn’t be surprised if Xbox pivots to handheld gaming, or at least convert the next iteration of the low end console (Series S) and keep the traditional high end console (Series X).
Phil Spencer has said he’d like a handheld Xbox and Microsoft have been pushing some updates to Windows recently that would suggest they’re leaning in that direction.

Listen up, here’s the tactic.
Take your work bag with your laptop, but also pack your Steam Deck as well. Leave it in the car when you get to the hospital. Spend 10-15 mins but then pretend to take a call whilst looking concerned and walk off. Come back a couple of mins later to say “I’ve got to sort an emergency at work. I’ll be in the car.” Open laptop in the car with something on screen that looks plausible. Start playing your Steam Deck whilst on the lookout for being busted. 👀

They’ll likely work on it and put out a 60FPS patch at some point, like it said in the article. I feel like they should get to that point before releasing the game though.

60 FPS should be the minimum, or at least give gamers the choice between a quality and performance mode.

Although I only replayed the game fairly recently (last couple of years), it’s great to see Broken Sword has been redrawn with 4K visuals and has remastered audio.
This game is so good. I’d highly recommend anyone who hasn’t played it does so at some point.

I wonder if they don’t add the local only feature because that then promotes instances to only talk amongst themselves. I know it’s possible in other ways, but that would be front and centre.
I know what you mean with the migration “feature”. It’s not exactly a simple process and yeah, you do end up losing followers. I recently migrated and lost about 8-10%. 🙃

Sorry to hear that Cliff. The technology sector is rife with layoffs at the moment.
I've also been going through a redundancy process over the last month or so. It's looking like I may come out the other side of it okay, but I kinda know what you're going through and the feeling on uncertainty isn't fun in the slightest.
