@nprofile…8t0c Thanks, Karen. There is an audiobook in the UK but not the US. I don't know if that is the only format you can use, but it won't be on Audible in the US. Sot it's best to ask your library to purchase the hardback or even to get your indie bookstore to get a copy in for you. Ultimately, Audible is not supportive of writers in any way, though I know it is convenient! I hope you continue to recover!

@nprofile…t5r6 I have experience with Patreon. It was helpful 6+ years ago when I was doing research for my book, but quickly became impossible for me to use-I felt drowned out by (porn & gaming) businesses using the platform. I have just started accepting donations via my Wordpress. I mean, a few days ago! I will keep you posted. It was easy to set up, but I have doubts whether it could be even a small income stream.

@nprofile…6md2 I have a windbreak fence and half the plot is a concrete patio. It’s north west facing so the afternoon, on a good day, gets a lot of sun throughout the centre. In the summer the days are very long, so the light will linger. I was thinking about PDX, actually being similar but I think you have been having some hot summers? (Global warming…argh.)

I’ve lived most of my life without a patch of land to grow stuff in. Now, I have a square of sad, pointless grass. I’ve made the leap and planted some cold resistant carrots in a grow bag & made the first wild spring salad with dandelions just come up. @npub1kkp…5sfx I ended up in York initially- what a weird place to live. Beautiful but alienating. I needed to be by the sea-Imso I moved to Scotland, but that was years ago now! I hope you find a good place!
