@nprofile…7v9l that's funny, that's exactly the one I use! (It's nice to know that part matches even if I have a ton to learn elsewhere) I was amazed at how easy it made things.
I've only done one TTRPG in the past (they published my interposed files and someone made one!) I've been binding my softcover books as if they're hardcovers, signatures and all, and gluing them into canvas printed with a plotter printer. How did you do the cover for yours? The glossy paper/cardstock looks very professional!

@nprofile…7v9l my local junk stores (I guess they're consignment shops but they're basically just full of the contents of garages and attics) are excellent sources for hardware and weird old tools - now that I know I'm looking for this kind of rounded paring knife, I'm excited to see if I can find one! Thanks again for taking the time to talk out the process - this book looks really cool by the way!

I've been doing woodworking and carving since I was a kid so it would never have occurred to me to use a chisel this way (in my mind, chisels are for going forward with, not side-to-side). Until I saw the picture you shared and the video confirmed it, I was thinking you were somehow using it like a bookmaker's guillotine. I'm definitely going to build a press and try this out! Thank you!

@nprofile…7v9l sorry, I know this is a bit late but you did this edge with a wood chisel? It looks amazing! How did you do that? Is it a super wide chisel or just multiple careful vertical cuts? I've thought about trimming my edges with a fresh xacto knife but this is making me realize there's another option to consider

Does anyone know of an online library of open license, interposed, print-ready books?
I've been bookbinding copies of copyleft books you can only get as PDFs, and helping some authors and a game dev group I know make their books available as binding-ready files.
Is there already a site for them somewhere? If not, it's something I'll try to do, eventually
I know prepping the files is part of the fun but if it lowers the barrier for entry for bookbinding I think it's worth it

@nprofile…6es7 I've seen a few folks looking for something like this, and I'm very much in favor of making non-AI solarpunk art easier to find. I'm not sure what platform makes sense for this usecase (especially if you're looking for people to be able to upload their own works) but still moderate it. Git probably makes as much sense as anything else I can think of. Feel free to include any of my CC-BY stuff. I've also written several resources to help make writing/depicting grounded solarpunk easier
