We have a new game with Molly. We throw a piece of kibble. She chases it, attacks it, gobbles it up, then lets us know she wants to play again. We can keep her entertained for ages with a few pieces of food. She thinks it is the best thing ever. Her courage has shot up astronomically since we started this. If you live in an area that is even marginally urban, you really do not need to drive with running lights, brights, and fog lights. You really really do not need to do this in the city. You absolutely do not need to do this during daylight hours.
In some places you are actually breaking the law having these many lights on at the same time anywhere.
If for some reason you do feel you need brights in a rural area, please turn them off the moment you see another vehicle approaching. Once they are beside you it is too late.
The number of times I have seen these things (and yes I am sure they were brights) in the last 24 hours is staggering. I know it is suddenly dark at 6am again, but seriously. Cut it out.

@nprofile…rs68 my stove wanted to connect to the internet and was shouting it out to the neighbourhood. So we pulled out an old router, connected it, then unplugged the router and put it back in the closet. The stove thinks it is on a network, the neighbourhood doesn't know it's there, and it will be difficult to hack it unless we plug that router in again.

@npub1mmf…eknq seems about right. I am perpetually astonished at how even a small shop for two people breaches $100, and that is at the cheaper independant international grocer we started going to. I can't imagine what we would be doing if we relied on the local Loblaw affiliate (the prices in their flyer are unreal these days).

@npub18lj…80hq Gen X here, and my partner is usually pointing out that I don't just ask for what I need. I grew up in an abusive home so asking directly was not encouraged or accepted. It also was implicit outside the home that I was not to be a bother or a problem. I'm still working on how to improve with this, even when I know I do it, because it was ingrained in me that much

Two changes to T&C and Privacy Policies for apps in the last week where the Privacy Policy link flat out doesn't work.
I know that technically no customer but me reads these things, but shouldn't your software testers be responsible for making sure everything works? If they missed this, which just takes a couple clicks to make sure it is functioning, what other, more complicated aspects of your product are they missing?
Off to write yet another email telling a company they flubbed something basic.

@npub1ahq…wjwd hilariously, backing up my Evernote data brought me to a file I had backed up from a cooking service called Shop N Cook whose demise was part of the reason I moved all my recipes to Evernote in the first place. Now I also have a bunch of recipes in html files to figure out what to do with.
I'm seriously considering using a printer and binders.
