Yes, much better. 🧡
Earlier this year, I delivered a prez on the evolution of the Bitcoin logo and symbol by analysing the discussions on the Bitcointalk forum during that time. Nakamoto initially designed the first ‘skeuomorphic’ BC coin and the next version based on the “B” with a double strike-through.
However, it was Bitboy the designer (not the influencer) who created the minimalist, orange, flat design that is still in use today. I believe the original colors were likely intended as a nod to gold coins.

Not a fan of Meta generally, but they’ve been leading in open-source AI. And yes, I understand how counterintuitive that seems - perhaps Zuck is chasing his 'redemption arc'.
They released LLaMA over a year ago, which is their open-source family of large language models - considered to be best-in-class for research, efficiency, and accessibility, compared to other open-source models like GPT-3 and even proprietary models like GPT-4 [which was the leading model up until the more recent 4o + o1].

Global adoption and free speech are fundamental principles. While it’s natural to disagree and engage in intellectual debates over ideas and direction, resorting to hostility is unproductive and reminiscent of schoolyard behavior. Leveraging the strengths of both expert-led presentations and DIY-style unconference spaces would prolly be the best of both worlds.
At our Bitcoin meetups, we have a specialist talk followed by 'lightning talks' (soapboxes) where anyone can speak impromptu on a Bitcoin-adjacent topic for five minutes, followed by a Q&A session, which allows those who might not usually have a platform, to share their ideas. This opportunity encourages discussion and networking, which is good for community building. I’d love to see both formats at the next nostr - an un/conference.
