@npub13ru…67kn as far as I know the interior isn't too bad, I believe the shell was refurbished when the landlord re-did the building. I think the previous operator was planning to come back but unfortunately that was just before covid happened.

If someone wants to take on the lease for the Fox on Kingsland Road and run a decent pub there again, that would be much appreciated. It's been closed for too long. £85k pa doesn't seem like a wholly unreasonable price?
There's a reason they used a historic photo. It does require a bit of work. Also there are now flats above it.

Tonight we were wondering why nobody had identified the flight which caused the UK air traffic control crash so we worked it out. It was FBU (French Bee) 731 from LAX/KLAX to ORY/LFPO.
It passed two waypoints called DVL on its expanded flight plan: Devil's Lake, Wisconsin, US, and Deauville, Normandy, FR (an intermediate on airway UN859).

CCCamp was a blast. I did way more work than I was expecting to on my "year off" organising events, didn't meet everyone I wanted to meet, saw no talks, still had a great time, and somehow came back home with more energy than I left with.

@npub1hpc…hjn3 I think the overall impact of new production in the UK is ultimately pretty small from a climate perspective.
But the UK government has been...not terrible for climate action in the past decade or so and it really sucks to see that reputation being destroyed so rapidly. I think the biggest risk is the example this sets for other countries.
