I'm sorry, I think that is not a wise piece of advice. These next few months and years are critical.
If the Dems had run a man either in 2016 or 2024, it is very unlikely America would have had Trump as President. You have no idea how frightened many, many voters are about having a woman in charge, and I am a strong feminist.
After years in the basement, the Liberals have a chance - with Carney. Party voters should be pragmatic, not ideological.

Maybe. I was unimpressed with her way of handling her departure from Trudeau's cabinet and upon looking into her appointments and achievements, would not support her as leader of the LPC today.
Further, I think the Liberal Party should not make the mistake made by American Democrats. That is, imagining that because they are ready for a woman leader, that all eligible voters are ready for a woman PM. Like Americans, Canadians are a shit ton more sexist than most would like to admit.
