Len starts with Blockstream Jade's blind oracle compromise, then shills coldcard, then says it's not actually a compromise with the Jade, then creates suspicion about where emails came from, and then recommends "a device that doesn't phone the mothership like the coldcard, for instance"
Then says coldcard like 10 times in the next sentence.
Then Joey comes in and starts bashing Ledger and their history, tries to tie that with Blockstream Jade's present story, and sums it up with "they are okay, don't get me wrong, the Jade isn't at the bottom of the totem pole by any stretch... but this is sort of an unforgivable sin at this stage." Joey begins correlating the Blockstream Jade's blind oracle to Ledger data leaks.
Joey says "even the seedsigner guys are going after coldcard."
Len and Joey then explain how they've used numerous different devices but still pick the cc. They are insisting on ignoring the seedsigner at this point. Joey then talks about how NVK grills steaks, has a podcast, does panels, etc., and claims, "Coinkite understands that if you buy a coldcard, the likelihood that you'll need to buy another one is zero. They understand that. And they're still making that product as secure and future-proof as possible even though it's probably going to affect their bottom line at some point."
Len and Joey then both talk about how neither of them have purchased the new coldcard Q, and Joey says he still has to order one, but Len says he won't upgrade from the coldcard mk4.
all this shit reads as, "look how bad everyone else is, trust coinkite, trust our trust in coinkite"
throwing seedsigner users into the mix of data breach discussions is fucking moronic
no coldcard mk3 firmware updates since June 2023 and I'm assuming it's not getting any further updates. If I had to guess, Len gets his head out of his ass after his mk6 is no longer supported, and Joey will never breath fresh air for the rest of his life
