If you search on #FediAdmin there was several posts on actions such as blocking signups from throwaway email address providers and similar options.
Adding a CAPTCHA to sign-up or requiring Mod or Admin approval on new accounts are easier ways to keep the spammers out of your instance 🙂

Well the pragmatic way would be to copy 4 TBytes of data to it and then read it back to check for accuracy.
SmartMonTools from the Terminal would give you access to the drives SMART reporting to check for the drives health status and to run the internal tests.
Do Samsung publish an app to check the drive? 🙂

Sort of the same issue when speaking to someone who happens to be in a wheelchair and accompanied by a companion.
You talk to the person in the wheelchair, not the companion. At least initially.
Address both when appropriate but if the person in the wheelchair asks question reply directly to them! 🙂🤷‍♂️
