This is from the Multnomah County (Oregon) Elections Division website at about 10 am PST. The county contains Portland. The voter turnout number is as of 6 pm last night. Based on that number, the Elections Division is predicting an 80% turnout for this election.
If people are voting in these numbers across the country -- and the increased turnout is driven by Democratic voters -- tonight's results could be very interesting indeed.

Dam removal on the Klamath River has helped salmon in Oregon and California much sooner than expected.
' Salmon can now swim more than 400 miles of the river, and biologists believe the salmon found in Oregon likely swam around 230 miles from the Pacific Ocean to get there. I've never heard a special name for that part of the state in the almost 30 years I've lived in Oregon. It's just part of 'northwest Oregon.' But I'm pretty surd that Oregonians could get behind 'horn' or 'saddle horn.'

Nobody knows what Harris' Palestine policies are going to be like since her being VP precludes her taking a position different from Biden's. Maybe she'll be better for the Palestinians, maybe she'll enable more genocide. Who knows?

By a landslide, workers at Volkswagen's auto plant in Tennessee have voted to join the United Auto Workers. This UAW victory is the first time a union has won a representation election at an auto plant in the South since the 1940s. This election adds momentum to union organizing already going on in the South. Chances are good that the UAW will win an election coming up on May 13 at a Mercedes plant in Alabama.
