This made my day because it is a beautifully concise demonstration of not only the problems with indiscriminate text-slurping regardless of copyright or licensure, but also the issues with LLMs more broadly: they can only output based on what input they’ve seen. Humans are wrong sometimes or have nuance such as humor in the things they say, and LLMs as far as I understand cannot filter on contextual emotions.

May have unwittingly done a Bad Thing.
Offhandedly mentioned cleaning my apartment after work to a guy and he goes “I love a clean house!” Without thinking about it too much, I responded that it’s really rare and awesome to hear he actually cleans, since I haven’t run into that many men who do. This was, apparently, not what he meant, just that he likes it when *other people* clean.

It bugs me (fully recognising I may be a picky minority here) when there is spurious gender included in academic papers or other technical work. There is no reason your users, attackers, etc have to be she/her or he/him. Inserting personal pronouns where they don't belong reads weirdly and distracts me. Instead of "The attacker does blah to her system", why not "The attacker does blah to THE system"? Just focus on the attacker's capabilities please. Why not consider gender out of scope of the work, unless the work is about gender?
