Fuck this guy. The answer should be, better support working families, not make cheaper less safe car seats.
I have two young kids, both under 7. I've spent thousands of dollars to equip two cars with car seats. Having a third kid would have meant we probably needed a different car because three seats across doesn't fit. So, he came to the exactly wrong conclusion for a real problem.

Power has been out for 12+ hours. I'm so happy we invested in #solar and battery backup. In the summer I think I could run indefinitely off grid except to charge our electric car. Even that I could probably do slowly on 110.

Think what you will about if Biden should continue his campaign. But, if you don't think that Harris who has been AG of the largest state in the country, a senator, and 4 years as Vice President isn't qualified to be president then think real hard about why you think that.
She is arguably more qualified than Obama was when he was elected.
And by every stretch of the imagination she is better than Trump.

I love Maine and I love Washington, but they both have very bland old timey flags. I fully support adopting modern designs with strong visual appeal.

I have a #PNW invasive plant question. My yard backs up to a public park on a steep hillside (>45° grade). It's riddled with invasive ivy, Himalayan knotweed, blackberries. I'm constantly fighting them from coming over my fence and into my yard. I don't want to spray pesticides because streams start here that are salmon bearing.
Any one have native or natural management recommendations?

Got my April / May power bill and we owe $23. You can tell the sunshine has finally arrived and my solar generation really went to work.
We went from 2048 kWh imported for the same period last year to 39 kWh this year. Meaning we were either one sunny day or one less charge of the EV from being a net exporter. I'm looking forward to seeing how much export we can manage over the summer with long cloudless days here in Seattle.
