I'm generally a fan of ${} for string interpolation in languages, just because it's easy to type, hard to miss, and rarely something you want to type literally in your strings
That is, unless you happen to be embedding bash scripts in your strings
The thing Nix does literally all the time
I feel like there was maybe a suboptimal choice here

@npub10sm…hjqm @npub1375…ypwp we have very seldom gotten buildNpmPackage to work, albeit that's usually been with other people's projects, but when we've tried even when we got the derivation building the resulting application didn't actually work for one reason or another
It's possible we've just only tried to build Cursed projects I suppose

A mini game I like to play sometimes after installing a fresh copy of Windows: find a non-trivial software project in a compiled language, and attempt to compile it from source, without installing any outdated software (including tools)
Bonus points if you manage this with a dotnet project

Is there any way to serialize a Nix function as Nix source?
In other words, can I take a Nix expression in Nix source, and then output it as something that can then be evaluated as a Nix expression elsewhere?
