It’s action versus intention.
Practicing kindness is a deliberate and conscious act. It’s something you do. I don’t think it’s enough these days to just “be kind“. We all need to do better jobs at putting that kindness into action.

I urge all of you in the U.S. to keep this one thing in mind...
The closer we get to the elections, the more anxious people will be.
Anxiety can lead to frustration, and frustration can often lead to anger.
We can each offset this anxiety in our own and others lives by doing one simple thing.
Practice kindness.
I don't mean "be kind". I mean "practice kindness". One is a state of being, the other is action made manifest.
Look for opportunities to share kindness. It WILL help.

I follow the #live hashtag and I've noticed an uptick in livestreams lately here on the Fedi.
Which is great!
More people are using #Owncast and #peertube to share their livestreams instead of YouTube or Twitch. It's almost like the Fedi, while much much smaller has a personal value beyond the corporate temptation for the POTENTIAL of a higher view count.
Or maybe people just want to share their fun with cool people?
Whichever it is I hope it continues!

The fact that I'm not on the "who to follow" list shows that I am failing at my attempt to become "Mayor of Mastodon".
All I want is for every Mastodonian to feel safe, and enjoy their time here. I want them to see the true power of a federated and decentralized social network. I want them to know that there ARE people who care about the services that they use. I want them to know that "the art of the fart" isn't just a joke, but a way of life.
What more is there?

Well I tested the usb stick and it works fine on my main laptop,
So, to recap...
I upgraded an old laptop to Linux Mint to 22.
After the upgrade, it told me to reboot to use the new upgrade.
When I rebooted I got the error shown in the picture.
I created a USB live stick with 22 on it to try to get into Terminal to delete whatever files I needed to get rid of to make space.
Changed BIOS to load USB first.
I still get the error.
Tested USB stick on main laptop. It works.
Any suggestions?

OK, I’m stumped.
I made a USB Live mint stick, put it in the USB slot, accessed bios to make sure that it booted first from USB, and rebooted, only to have the same error pop up. It refuses to boot from USB. Even when I selected in bios to do it right away. It just pops up with the same error, from the original post.
And yes, the USB stick works. I verified it.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

I'm glad that I tried on my old laptop first. Hopefully I wont have the same problem on my main, but I'm going to learn to fix the old laptop first before I try, just to make sure I know how to fix the problem should it arise on my main laptop.

Tried to upgrade Linux mint and now I just get this error when I reboot…
