Alex Janvier - world famous First Nations painter and member of the Indian group of seven has died. He was self taught and a graduate of Alberta College of Arts & the University of Alberta. He was awarded many awards over the years including Governor Generals Award, Order of Canada, National Aboriginal Achievement Award. His gallery was in Cold Lake, Alberta.
