Thanks. I definitely think Robosats is one of the best options, but the thing that keeps me from it is that you’re sending funds from your bank to someone else’s bank right? So then that person has kyc’d you since it is coming from your bank with your real name. And they’re possibly a government agent (not that there’s anything illegal about buying bitcoin in this way in Australia at the moment, but it kind of defeats the purpose of it being non- kyc).

What about a hard fork in bitcoin that sets say 1% of all mined bitcoin and puts it in a pot, to be allocated in a way that is consensus approved in the hard fork (at a minimum; enforcement of transactions and remediation/ disincentives for bad actors). Not foolproof but satoshi wanted to go from 15-30% government spending to 0% which is kind of so beyond what we have evolved to cope with and also means there is no centralised force to combat other centralised forces (eg current governments) other than what people give voluntarily.

It just occurred to me that we don’t really have monogamy in the purest sense in the West anymore. Every marriage between two people, and also every de facto relationship in places with extensive de facto frameworks like Australia, involves three entities: the two people and the State.
Not wanting a relationship with the State, I suppose the rational and moral thing to do is also to not have a relationship with a woman.

As I said, the us govt won't care. It's a one shot kill. The interest expense is virtually cancelled, and the us govt can reissue new bonds (even in a new currency) at what rates it wishes. What happens when an individual or corporation goes bankrupt? Same concept.

I'm getting too tired to wrap my head around this tonight, but my first reaction is that this is way to complicated to work in practice. Why is everyone just magically insured? Like how do we go from here to there? How do I know what level of insurance I need to go where, if each individual property owner can require that of me independently? How do they know what level of insurance I have, and how can they detect fraud? Isn't the arbitration just a court system? So then how to fund that without preventing thugs from free riding knowing that if it is underfunded they can steal stuff again? A dollar spent on private enforcement protecting my property would be a better use of my funds than funding arbitrators. So reverse tragedy of the commons again, until it all falls apart when you can't protect your basic stuff.

No, just say existing bondholders aren't getting anything above 2%. Then the interest expense goes to very low. Then cut spending so it's 100% funded through tax receipts. No additional debt issuance necessary.

Gundlach floated the idea lately that US could say that any bond coupon will be capped at 2%, which would dramatically reduce the govt interest expense but also make the us treasury market instantly illiquid, so us couldn't issue more debt, resulting in massive austerity. This would solve the problem of debt going forward. It would also likely not be good for bitcoin, as it would make us dollar harder.

This is a fascinating concept and I think it has huge implications. The problem though, seems to be women's inability to find attractive low t men, resulting in falling birthrates and male loneliness. Eg, women who want 'a high t man' despite that not being in the best interests of the man. She doesn't think about what is good for the man though, she goes with her desire (as, arguably, she should).
And not sure I agree with the claim that ability of men to adapt to a sedentary lifestyle results in their automatic success. Yes, they may not lust after woman in the same way, but they are still likely to feel a profound loneliness and ennui wothout a romantic partner, and their low t might result in their inability to mitigate this through even casual encounters.
So we're left with a majority of men who are quite well adapted to survive in such a society in some sense, but quite unable to find a partner. The question then becomes why they would continue to contribute to such a society. And I think the answer is that they will stop paying tax, in the hope that the state collapses, anarchy ensues, and we go back to traditional gender roles where a single man again fulfils the multiple roles that technology, the state and high t men provide to them separately at the moment.

Hoarding any commodity causes price to rise, causing increased investment and then production as people seek to gain from producing more of it, causing equilibrium to return. Hoarding bitcoin or gold isn't exempt- more energy is spent trying to produce these resources which actually contribute no value in and of themselves.
