that’s a narrow definition. If you don’t have enough money to buy the machine that will provide the core of your business then you can sell shares to raise the capital to buy the machine.
Nothing to do with labour.
So eg. if you wish to make pots, you will need a potters wheel and a kiln. That will set you back £3000 - £5000
One way to fund it would be to sell six shares each for £500 to fund the purchase.
Or take out a loan.
Both are capitalism.

much of the harm caused by the stock market is not the stocks but the market. Trading in shares at the rate of thousands per second is not a way to create a stable economy. Owning shares in a business is perfectly viable and can help the individual as well as the business. But shares should be long-term with a minimum holding period of five or 10 years.
Another way of achieving this is to make shares tradable only at face value with no premium allowed.

We don’t want nuclear - our government has already committed to closing Hunterston & Torness
We can’t afford nuclear as it is exponentially more expensive than renewables
We won’t allow nuclear, as the government will refuse planning permission
