I've been using #macOS on and off for 15 years, but only today I learned (or remembered) that you can use Cmd+~ to cycle between the open windows of some application. Good stuff!
P.S. Funny enough for a long time I had mapped it to show/hide my terminal. (as a complement for C-~ for dropdown term) Today I moved the terminal keybinding to Opt-~. :-)

Interesting discussion about the merits and issues that #FSharp has https://www.reddit.com/r/ocaml/comments/m634t8/thoughts_onexperiences_with_f/ As is often the case with hosted languages - .NET is probably it's biggest merit (you get a huge ecosystem) and it's biggest issue (you have to make some compromises, e.g. allow nulls, to fit into the .NET ecosystem).

Applications these days have no respect for a computer's limited resources:
- Chat apps consume 0.5GB RAM (e.g. Messenger)
- IDEs take 5GB of space and consume 4+ GB of RAM (e.g. Rider)
- A VS Code for a tiny F# project eats 1 GB of RAM
And then there's #Emacs which consumes 200MB after 1 month...
I guess most people don't really care about this, as long as they have the resources needed, but it always bothers me.

Any Helix editor users here? Would you recommend it over (neo)vim? At least in theory the keybindings there seem more logical, and I kind of like the idea of an editor without extensions as I'll waste less time configuring it. :D

@nprofile…x0kw One day I might try this on my current MBA. I also wonder how the new high-end Snapdragon X laptops work with Linux. Supposedly it’s almost as fast and as efficient as the Apple Silicon.

@nprofile…x0kw It’s the same on my end - I prefer Linux on many levels (especially for software development) and I was a long-time Linux user before switching to macOS. But the Apple silicon is soooo good these days ….

Admittedly I got so spoiled by my MBA M2, that now most of the alternatives out there seem hot, noisy and with an underwhelming battery. I’m guessing newer chips from Intel and AMD will help with that, though.

Looking at the reviews, it seems the hardware has a quite few flaws (e.g. heat, noise, flex, poor sound and camera), but the idea of an easily repairable and upgradable laptop is sooo cool! As is first-class #Linux support!
