TIL: in Österreich schreibt die Fahrradverordnung ein Rücklicht in rot von einer Stärke von mindestens 1cd vor. Das ist die Stärke einer Kerze!
Vorne werden immerhin 100cd fest verbunden mit dem #Fahrrad vorgeschrieben.
Dazu kommen noch ein Rückstrahler vorne und hinten.
Das erfüllen viele nicht.
Ich verstehe nicht warum solche Dinge nicht stärker kontrolliert und geahndet werden. Wie oft mir 'unsichtbare' Fahrräder im Finstern entgegen kommen. #osterreich

TIL: the Trieste, the deep sea submersible that dove to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the Sixties, had a clever fail safe resurfacing capability. It held steel shot in open tubes with an electro magnet. In case of electrical failure the sub would resurface on its own.

What do you use to upload #photos from your phone automatically to your next cloud?
The #nextcloud app just disqualified itself. 🫤
Disabled my standing upload procedures silently sometime in May.
Further the new upload procedures take ages to start doing stuff. It's hard to see what's going to happen and kill a job that's uploading. Killing the app worked. Disabling a ruleset does not suffice.

Fun fact: most of these disclaimers are not useful in a legal sense. If you infringe on someone's rights, a disclaimer is not going to help.

Can someone in my #copyright #law bubble explain to me why some TV shows or movies mention that they are a product of fiction and no real life person or event is the inspiration for that fiction?
How does this help? Wouldn't this statement be useless if it came to a lawsuit?
