Big Mama, an old female red eared slider, came in my 1st year doing #WildlifeRehab, hit by a car. Sliders are invasive here and, although many have been illegally released, rehabbers aren't allowed to put them back, so she stayed.
Grace, a river cooter, was rescued after being injured by another #turtle when they were kept together in a small tank. She understandably has trust issues with other turtles. Last month I put them in the same place for the first time. They ended up besties.

Managed to pull off two booths at the Elizabethtown NY Fairy and Magickal Creatures Festival last weekend, despite having no power at home the night before and morning of. Left is Dancing Turtle Rescue, my nonprofit (thankful for helpful volunteers), and right is my Shamanic Reiki and ceremony officiant business. Been catching up all week.

I wish I could get out and see some healthy, happy turtles in the wild, but injured turtles keep coming in so I just look out the window like one of the snapping turtles I currently have in care. I'm also carefully monitoring the temp in my incubator, which contains four clutches of eggs from moms who didn't make it across the road to their nesting spots and couldn't be saved.

The orphaned grey squirrels I have been raising are partially weaned and fully into all kinds of shenanigans. I have to keep adding enrichment to their cage to keep them occupied while they practice their squirrel skills. They are halfway to release and I will soon be hands off with their care, but I can enjoy their cute faces for a while longer.
