The problem is the one I mentioned before though - unless you kept the pace with the players that are the front-runners of secret finding, any question you have for those late game puzzles feel more like asking for a guide than actually sharing secrets with the community.

There is a lot to discover, but most things can be done solo until you finish the game for the first time!
It gets much trickier on the late-game though, as there still a lot of hidden content after finishing the game for the first time, and THAT hidden content can be VERY cryptic. So it's not like it's not designed for solo players, but more like it's much better to investigate as a community, like the 90's feeling of sharing game secrets with other players.

Outer Wilds is my favorite game! And the ending was really life-changing to me.
Although, that's an interesting bit about Outer Wilds. It is a game about discovery, but not community discovery. I think it's so impactful for the individual that people even recommend playing it without talking with anyone so you won't get any spoilers.

That's not a game nor a community problem, is just how things work now, and Animal Well is still an amazing game to play and discover things solo. But I wonder if there could be a solution for this kind of game, to make an incentive to play the game in "small tribes" to keep the feeling of discovery we had on the Old Internet Days (tm)? (end/)

But now, asking a question in a community is the same thing as looking for the answer of a puzzle. Unless you were playing the game on day 0 with a small group of people and dedicated a lot of time to it, you are not discovering the game with a community, you are just checking how far you'll go by yourself until you have to check puzzle solutions with people that already solved it (2/)

I'm really enjoying Animal Well, but I feel like it's really hard to engage the end-game content like it was intended to be, as something you discover in a community. I had this feeling just once in my life: when I played the first Zelda (on a NES emulator) with a friend of mine. It was an amazing feeling to discover secrets in coop, to track where we were and to draw a map together so we could figure out where were the temples. (1/)
