@npub1t95…0kzy Oh yeah. They weren’t even ready with merch at Christmas, nobody had thought of it — I still have the giant thing they managed to print out and sell, which was basically an “early-bird” coupon for some figurines. I have all that too. This one from eBay is going for $1200, wtf…

@npub1t95…0kzy I was 13 and my sis was the manager of the one 70mm screen in town. Time magazine had a violator on the cover of that week’s issue saying simply “The best movie of the year”. Got a color program, an original May the Force Be with You button (still have them, incredibly). Star Wars became my life for a few years from that night on lol, and didn’t miss an opening night till Lucas’s second crap prequel, then I gave up. Rogue One saved the whole franchise for me. Ymmv!
