She made it the night and is looking pretty dang good this morning! 🧡
After giving a bottle of powdered colostrum she took it upon herself to stand for a bit. She's still quite weak but hopefully by this evening we can get her out and starting to train with her mom 🤞

Rough evening. Came home after work and found a calf was rejected by her mom... Likely several hours ago. We've spent the past several hours bringing her back from the grip of death by heating her up and starting to supplement milk.
She's definitely looking better, but I'm always doubtful with this side of farming. Bringing animals back around is extremely difficult and rarely successful for us when it gets as bad as it did.
She's fighting so we do too. 💪
If all goes well the goal would be to get her back on mom to raise. 🤞

Not here.
Our focus when creating our content is to paint a more realistic vision for what farm or homestead life looks like, while also documenting our journey for our own historical reference.
7 years on we've come a long way, but I still have decades of work ahead.
