It terrifies me that this election is considered even close. What terrifies me more is I’ve read that some are alleging it’s tightening up again. Why? Just why? I know that some people really work hard to remain ignorant of #Project2025 and all the damage it will do, because #Democrats are evil babykillers and…oh, never mind, I can’t even write this out anymore without wanting to throw things and put my fist through walls.

I’ve never had a fear of flying. I know people who actually have a paralyzing fear of it. One of my dearest friends, sadly now deceased, would never fly even if they needed to travel cross-country. They’d take three days on the train, there and back. Yet I’ll be taking off in less than 12 hours and I’m feeling uneasy. Admittedly this has more to do with the idea that I might forget something crucial and not think of it until it’s too late. It’s happened. (1/2)

We got it set up so we’ll get our #absentee ballots in the mail. This makes me happy. When we voted in 2020, there was a line out the courthouse door, and it took us an hour and a half to even get to the room where the voting machines were. It’s hard to not think it’s getting harder and more inconvenient by design, but maybe I don’t know everything.

Why does the media keep letting #Trump spout off about the absolutely, completely untrue myth that some states allow abortion in the ninth month and even after birth? Why don’t they just say sir, that’s BS? Just once I’d like to hear that. Because as often as he repeats it, people who don’t know any better will just assume it’s true.

3 of my uncles fought in #WWII. One of them didn’t make it home. Both of my surviving uncles are gone now, but I’m certain they’d be furious at what #Trump and crew are doing and continue to do.

And it keeps happening, again and again and again. It’s not that the Dems don’t know how to fight dirty, I’m beginning to suspect they don’t know how to fight at all. I think of many instances when the party just knuckled under, going all the way back to throwing Thomas Eagleton under the bus. Yet I will crawl over broken glass to vote for them, because despite everything they’re the best chance we’ve got to escape this dystopia.
