I just learnt about the new travel requirements to EU from UK: "Passengers will have to upload their fingerprints and scan their faces"
I really really really don't like biometric data being collected. I don't know exactly why, its a visceral objection for me.
I already opt out of the face scanning things they have, sharing my anxiety persuades the security person to let me use the staffed booth.
Mandatory fingerprints and face scan might just trigger me to stay put, forever. Hmm. Fuckers.

I'm trying to see the opportunity in suffering from a sore throat virus that's keeping me from sleeping properly.
I can just about manage to re-adjust my life to accommodate it's needs for now without too much disruption (🤞).
But, oh my, I think most of society is not really set up for people to just be ill for a bit and let their bodies recover in peace.

I just listened some really impressive AI generated music. But we already have and continue to produce wonderful music.
What we don't have is adequate and universal dental care (to pick one thing close to me at the moment).
Please can we (humanity) work on that first, and then if there's some time afterwards, we could look into that AI music....

Have you got a recommendation for a WordPress events plugin for local community websites?
Requirements not totally clear, but something like:
- calender view
- recurring events
- free version is sufficient
- ideally exposes ical feed
- simple enough for tech averse people to use
- "sign up for events with custom fields" is probably bonus feature only

@npub1jf9…936x definitely old enough, but they are whisked off home after eating, and I think also not in the rhythm of helping out clearing up. I just accept that part as it is.
I kind of like offering them a bit of space where it is not adults telling them to do some thing they don't want to do, which is a lot of life as a kid in these parts.
Totally can be fun though. I put on some nice Ska and danced around tidying it up 😄🕺🎷🎶🔉🎸

I love cooking with kids, even if they tend to take out EVERY PLATE, BOWL, PAN, SPOON, UTENSIL, etc. in the kitchen, leaving me with this kind of mess to clear up. Worth it though.
I like to encourage their autonomous explorative freedom to conjure up things. I can do this as its not fulltime! We have fun.
Bless you parents for taking care of little people all the time! This model totally wouldn't work all the time... That's why its worth building community where we can all play a role.
