@npub1v5a…5yax Yes, Greenfinches have never recovered in the area where I live although I see and hear them elsewhere. Goldfinches seem to be the main beneficiary of their decline.

This morning I arrived at Brandon Marsh in time to see the #sunrise—and also to see the Barn Owl return to the nest box she is using (she flew straight in, so no pics!). After waiting in vain to see if the Owl might come back out for an early morning hunting trip I set off to photograph other wildlife at the reserve, including Damselflies and Butterflies (Ringlet and Marbled White). Meadow Crane's-bill at Brandon Marsh, Warwickshire, yesterday. The flowers of this wild Geranium always occur in pairs; when they have gone to seed they will extend the long 'beaks' from which the species gets its name.

Remembering Dad (who died a year and a half ago) on #FathersDay. It was Dad who encouraged my early interest in #nature and then, when I was in my teens, my passion for #WildlifePhotography.
Here he is in the #garden he loved so much, with some of the #wildlife he captured on camera there. Thanks Dad, and rest well.
