How many blocks did you mine in previous epoch? I'm just curious. I did the math and after deducting transaction fees reward it gives 4.125 reward per block (which obviously cannot be the case). It gives extra 32 block rewards - so was it 16? Or am I missing something and looking at it the wrong way...

Suddenly Amethyst is close to the bottom, overtaken by shitloads of processes that I either don't use and I'm not aware that they even being run... Live wallpaper selector? Why would I choose to run it? Or ubiquitous manager service? WTF is that?
It makes me wanna finally take the plunge and degoogle myself...

I was playing around with nostr. Had my original nsec/npub pair generated in amethyst, recently connected it with @nprofile…qss4 and started using alby extension to log in to different clients on desktop.
I've noticed @iris was showing different npub than amethyst - so went to alby and found you can put in different npub in settings - which gave me a bit of head scratching... How does it work? - Can I put any npub there? But eventually putting my npub from amethyst into Alby settings (nostr nip-05) didn't change anything, logged out and in a few times and it still shows different npub.
Same with @nprofile…pzsw - logging in using @Alby shows same npub as iris which is different to the one I'm using in amethyst...
Does it mean that if I'm using Alby as login option it generates new npub once (derived from original) and uses it for any other service? Is it some sort of bug? Or I'm just being stupid and been using two different nsec... I think I might have previously generated different nsec/npub pair with iris on this machine, so I found switch user button and logged in using alby extension. Seemed to work fine.
But it turns out that it (@iris) still treats me as different npub than @Amethyst.
Can someone help me understand what I'm doing wrong? #asknostr

I've noticed huge difference with sun exposure after dumping seed oils. Prior I thought I have some sort of sun allergy (with my pale skin getting all sorts of spots after 20 min in full sun).
Last two years I've been sitting in the sun for hours without any burns or spots. Also I've ditched sunglasses - when you block certain UV lights your body thinks it's night time so it doesn't adapt to sunlight the way it should.

In Poland they go further, they figured that older generation is more responsive to physical letters so they drop pieces of paper with handwriting (although copied on xerocopier) in mailboxes in the area with many old people saying they're a family looking to buy flat in the area. It partially does. But it requires to do scrambling (delete) before pressing "add image" in amethyst - what I'm looking for is something that could do it on the fly - almost like from within amethyst... You press add image button and before it uploads it shreds the metadata.
But obviously want to have it being done locally - not on someone elses server/relay...

I had a thought with my son that it should be possible to build something similar with nostr. Set him up with nostr connected to our own relay and create a list of tasks around the house with price for each completed task.
We would top up the bounty wallet (house budget) and if one parent confirms a task as done (by whoever) at the end of the day the sats would be divided and shared with whoever done the job.
Then they can either keep the sats or spend on extra screen time with us (they call us their favourite central bank which can produce almost unlimited amount of screen time :) )
Unfortunately none of us is still computer literate enough to write it... But would happily pay someone some sats to do it. It could be used to power organisations and even whole communities. Set a bounty on a task, fund it and once enough entities confirm it's done the payment is sent to whoever claims he did it (could be multiple recipients). Is someone working on something like that? It seems like most pieces of the puzzle are already here...

I get that done companies might need willing to use it but this would make sure it can't be abused... But on the other hand it could be handheld client side - only display messages sent with some bond paid - spam gets discarded.

I know it's a long shot but does anybody knows if I can copy amethyst nostr private key using phone with dead screen and a Linux laptop? Developer mode should be enabled hopefully but apart from that I'm in the dark...
Missus managed to kill her screen on Android device before making a backup of keys and now we're stuck for couple of weeks before we'll manage to get screen replaced...
