It always seemed too painful for me to setup so I went the lazy way and got an external ssd with a cracked Windows for all my cracked games and I use an alias to efibootmgr to quickly reboot in native windows for my gaming needs.
Of course I hate having to reboot but... Yeah I'm just that lazy 😏

@npub1jma…0as2 aw I never had to use Windows with qemu I'm afraid :/
I must have a virtualbox windows somewhere on my disk for family IT support but that's it really, sorry.
Also I'm lucky enough to have an amd gpu now so no more nvidia shenanigans for me
Is your nvidia card recent enough to use the new open source nvidia drivers by any chance? I'm not up to date on that regard but that could be something to look into...

@npub1jma…0as2 I mean I love the concept but I don't have the patience to configure everything by myself to feel productive anymore, I guess I'm just too old so I need a simple UI lol
I hope cosmic strikes a good balance between customizability and not getting in my way with as much bloat as kde

@npub1jma…0as2 cosmic is meant to be a complete DE with advanced tiling features out of the box, which is exactly what I'm after.
I've used i3 for years before I got tired from arguing with config files and having to look for every piece of software to build a usable DE...
Gave kde a try with krohnkite then bismuth but that doesn't work anymore. The new tiling script to use with kwin is called polonium and it sucks imo.
