Yes, obviously things are way more nuanced and intricate than my 500-char toot can ever convey. In light of this complexity it is already apparent the divide is artificial, a gross simplification.
I'd rather give people this thought and leave it to them to ponder on it (or not) no matter where they are leaning.

The left vs. right divide is mostly artificial. It's cultivated, weaponised.
Is desire for peace, prosperity, freedom and human rights and progression towards that, somehow 'leftist'?
The real divide is top vs. bottom, the haves vs. have-nots. Surely big-brother oligarchs smile in evil glee, watching common folks be driven to opposite extremes by their diversion tactics. Preparing guts and minds for the destruction of democracy that stands in the way of their further upwards rise to dominance.

A similar dynamic helps drive left vs. right to opposite extremes. Populist leaders may be demagogues, sociopaths, racist/fascist, etc. But are all followers too? Can we generalize and slam such labels on 2.5 million Wilders voters? If we do so and cancel them, they have only 1 direction to go: more to the right.
Feeding into purity spirals is a strong weapon, and the left is serving the right when participating.

What popped up in my head as an extension of this thought experiment, having taken an interest for #WebAssembly (server-side Component Model + #WASI) was SQLite + #Wasm ..

Benefits would include:
- Smaller documents
- Faster File/Save times
- Faster startup times
- Less memory used
- Document versioning
- A better user experience

I see your point. Symmetry and fairness are where this hinges on, I guess. There's the aggregators' and the publishers' perspective.
We have industrial-scale aggregators with huge audiences, and many, many smaller ones. Where does it leave the content creators / publishers is the question, I suppose? Why would they create neat places for their audience, if the content is sucked out of them? How would they sustain themselves if it is monetized elsewhere, by different parties?

I use #Peopleverse as a concept/vision (not a name) to indicate the state where our offline and online worlds seamlessly integrate and are enriching to our daily lives.
In this, the name of the online space stays Fediverse, but is more technical. Same as "internet" is. Peopleverse is inherently human and social.
It is also not "the" Peopleverse, but "a" Peopleverse. It is diverse, there isn't but one. It can be personal. Emerging on the Fediverse.
May consider adopting the term
