Today one of our devs was paid in #Bitcoin for a project of a pleb.
I helped him install a wallet so that he could receive the payment. While we were waiting for confirmation, I told him more about Bitcoin. Now he has received the sats and wants to #hodl them. He was even really proud that he earned his first sats.
A few smaller projects are planned next with our Dev team, and the company's own BTCpay server will be set up in parallel.

Last week I had a meeting with our dev team.
After discussing everything for work we talked about online payment gateways and I mentioned that everyone can be their own payment provider by installing a btc pay server.
Today one of the Backend Engineers reached out telling me that he looked into the code and that he was surprised how easy it is to install.
He was such impressed that he installed it already. Now he is not stopping asking me questions about #Bitcoin.
It seems that he discovered the Rabbithole 🤷🏻‍♂️

It all started in 2014!
Before I came across #Bitcoin, I noticed a dissatisfaction within me. I secretly realized how I had become a victim of the system, running faster and faster on the hamster wheel to please others. True to the motto: If you've got something, you're something. Today I am ashamed of this lifestyle, because not only was I harming myself, but also people I loved. My morals and conscience became numb.
I only realized this feeling of dissatisfaction when I reached a very low point in my life. I guess you have to suffer to change your mindset.
I started to reflect on my life. Writing down things I wanted to change. Along the way, I came across Bitcoin in 2016, even though I had heard about it very early on, but this time everything was different because I was no longer in the bubble like before. I discovered the entrance of the Bitcoin Rabbithole.
Until 2018 Bearmarket, I only had a little bit of "play money" invested, but even though the price crashed, I dug deeper and deeper, because it seemed to me that those who held knew something I didn't know. YouTube videos and forum posts became books. Thanks to the German edition of the Bitcoin Standard, I understood more and the more I read, the more my doubts disappeared.
When I look back now and think about the difficult times, I'm glad that everything turned out the way it did. It shook me awake and made me steer my life in a new direction.
Bitcoin and all the plebs I met along the way gave me a mega boost. I was able to learn so much, close friendships were formed, there was a lot of laughter and yes, there were also emotional moments.
Today, I can say, I am super grateful for every experience and every person I met in my life.

Third day in the new job!
One of my colleagues started talking about crapto trading.
When he asked my opinion on crapto I said they are ponzis.
I said I would rather go to the casino before buying crapto.
I added that I would only buy #Bitcoin and that there is no second best!

Mein Vorschlag ist, dass sie über die Notwendigkeit von Bitcoin aufklären sollten.
Geschäftsbanken verdienen durch das Kreditsystem oder denkst du, dass die sich über Gebühren der Girokonten finanzieren können?! Diese Banken verdienen indem sie Zinsen kassieren. Natürlich spielen sie das vorgegebene Spiel und ich finde das auch überhaupt nicht schlimm (Don’t hate the player, hate the Game), aber diese Tatsache wird gerne mal unter den Tisch gekehrt. Man gibt lieber den Zentralbanken die Schuld, aber genauso wie der Täter ist auch der Mittäter Schuld.
Sobald "Bitcoiner" mit Profiteuren des Fiatsystems kuscheln, werde ich misstrauisch. Dieses Misstrauen könnten sie entkräften, indem man mit offenen Karten spielt. Ob das passiert, werden wir dann in Zukunft sehen.
