@npub1ln5…xyw6 Hi! We had been contacted recently by a couple of podcast authors about incorrect/outdated data for their podcasts. The data comes from podcastindex.org API. What's the right way for podcast authors to update their data?

@npub1dus…mkvt @npub1ay8…46wf Hi! Just looked at the feed and the problem is that the <podcast:value> tag isn't inside the <item> tag as it should. The way you have it, it's at the channel level and it's not associated with the episode.

If a "fee" entry comes with split=20 and the total split sum (non fee) is 30+40 then the fee percentage would be (20 / 70) * 100%

@npub1pa0…pfyr @npub1zyl…mw3t @npub1ay8…46wf @npub1mvd…pqg5 @npub10fp…qqev The way I interpreted the specs is that "fee" entries don't contribute to the total splits sum. So having total splits = 4+3 and fees like 20 or 10 doesn't make any sense. The "fee" values would be > 100%.

I was told by a user that they don't see boosts from Podcast Guru on Fountain in the data from Fountain Boost Bot. And the reason is that they expect us to provide "itemID" in the blip10 metadata. We're providing "episode_guid" which should be enough to identify the episode. Do we have anyone from Fountain on mastodon here that we can ask about it?

Do podcasters mostly use Shoutcast/Icecast for audio live streams? I've only seen HLS for a video stream.
