@npub1xl5…wsca @npub1jcn…gw7e After a whole three shots ground in my new J-Ultra, it’s very close to dialed in for my Robot and I *think* I can say that I like it better than my 1st Gen DF64 at least from a flavor perspective. It’ll take a week or two to be sure. Obviously there’s a workflow difference. At this point my only *minor* complaint would be that it’s a bit difficult to grip. Otherwise, it’s a pleasure to use. I’m happy with the purchase.

@npub1xl5…wsca Please, no animation. Like, nothing moving on the page unless I ask it to by clicking - not hovering or worse doing nothing. That includes ads too.
That doesn’t mean it’s not very cool and fun. It’s just not what I want to see (or wait for in this instance) when I visit a (any) webpage. Like Chris M. above I disable animations, but sometimes that doesn’t work.
Can’t wait to see the finished site.

@npub1qw5…037m Yea, I poked into it a bit and saw Newton described as “progressive.” But the actions of the community, at least as described in the article on these few issues, are more libertarian than progressive.
I recognize that everything is a continuum, a 4-D playing field of needs, priorities, and desires. Very few people or groups fit into a neat box. I sure don’t.

But please explain why you led with the failed executive editor bit? I’d like to think you’re trying to show that people can change and improve, it just comes off at best as spite. I’m being kind there, too. There are some family-unfriendly words that fit much better.

@npub1xl5…wsca I was *this* close to getting the Flair 58, but the power brick/controller ugliness and reliability as well as the size put me off. Would love to have/try one though. Great review and walkthrough.
I’m rocking a Robot, and because I don’t do light roasts temperature control is fine. I never go above 6 bar, it’s not needed.
The important thing: lever machines are a great way (best way, IMO) to make espresso.
BRB, going to go shop for a Flair. As if I need a third espresso machine.

@npub1u95…qv8f @npub1qw5…037m I’d settle for the apps on my iPad staying in the same place when I switch from portrait to landscape. And a real file system.
I think the real benefits of an AR/VR headset will come with much more miniaturization. AR is usable when it can unobtrusively fit in glasses…then contacts. I think Apple is jumping in now not because of what we can do today, but looking out 5-10 years it’s time to get started.

All that said, I don’t see myself ever voting for another Republican. They know they’re going to lose, they’re just salting the earth at this point.
