Anybody can run a server, but if you are going to get hundreds of thousands of blind followers logging on, and will be promoting the server in other media, it will cost millions. And as someone else says here, if you don't have the spoons to do it yourself, others will charge.

So you change it to make it more readable: either you insert single-symbol comments or you change the name of the variables. I would much rather do the latter.

I would be more concerned with exercising freedom 1: to study and modify the program. But to me this itself implies the new freedom 4, hence 4 is not needed.

Suspend shuts the CPU off (mostly) but leaves memory all powered up, hibernate dumps memory into the swap partition and then turns everything off.

Everybody seems to be agreeing with you, but I don't.
This says nothing about FOSS. It says Google is an evil company (they admitted this by consciously dropping their bye-line 'Do no evil') that will use its monopoly. But there is Chromium; it is not 'as good' because it does not play so nice with Google's 'standards'.
But none of this is an actual weakness in the FOSS model. It is just Google (and the others) manipulating the public into thinking that theirs is the only way.
