Nothing particularly special design wise, but incredibly memorable from its content alone.

All of that has to feel *seamless* to a player who's only input's are *throttle*, *aim* and a couple utility buttons.
It's honestly super tricky to get a nice balance between all these things, and then at the end of the day someone inevitably will just ask for a fire button lol.
But it's all in service of making the game feel as natural to use with as few inputs as possible.

One of the tricky things with designing shooting games for phones, or at least.. designing them with autofire by default is that I need to build a list of things the player can target.
You might say “just let them target all enemies" well ok, true, but so far in both my games you can target sub-components of enemies.
What about "destroy this building" or "don't destroy that enemy" or "this gun can shoot through walls and there's giant explosive barrels?"

-to ditch my desktop devices completely and just use my iPad Mini. Ideally, I’d be able to *actually* use it as a desktop once plugged into an external screen.

@npub1nhw…g2sy been doing this for a bit over ten years now, some of the things that took me *weeks* to build in my first games now takes me minutes, but other things? New things I’ve not tried before? Still takes me weeks haha.
That’s the best thing about gamedev, you’re always learning new and cool stuff. You’re always feeling more junior than you actually are (in a good way imo)
