@nprofile…qfh3 About far-right politics - IIRC it was Harari who noticed that generation of politicians who lived during WW2 now is almost all gone.
We have politicians who live in pretty peaceful times and now have perspective which makes them demand more and more for their countries. It’s sensible to some point, but take it too far and here we go 1939 once again. That’s the thing that politicians seem to not understand.

@nprofile…qfh3 About the first part of the post - I was thinking quite a lot about things getting political, and agree with what you say.
Even more, I would say that everything might be political, because politics is a lens that you can look through on different things. The trick is not to overuse that lens, as many people do nowadays (and they’re always outraged that X is woke or Y is sexist).
So, sometimes it’s simply better to not get engaged with all of that.

@nprofile…qfh3 Neat thing is that it may make it possible to completely avoid using mocks in unit tests.
And other thing, if you use a bit of abstraction you can vary connection types - I did something like this to make it possible to perform the same operations with serial and SSH connections depending on whatever is needed ;)

Zainspirowany niektórymi blogami i stronami które przeglądam, napisałem ierwszy nowy wpis od bardzo dawna. Zaczynam serię #DystopijnaTerazniejszosc którą będę chciał kontynuować... od czasu do czasu, jak jakiś temat okołotechnologiczny akurat wpadnie mi na tapet ;)
Skłoniła mnie do tego dość dziwna publiczność przyciągnięta pod reklamę jednej stronki na Facebooku... czy to ciągle ludzie, czy już tylko po części?

@npub1sh4…32nx From what I heard, many people after such certifications don’t really have the knowledge. They only want to pass the exam and then try to pass some job interviews.
Hence, learning might be quite different from passing the exam.

#TIL you can ask #ChatGPT about what does it know about you and it will tell. Well, probably more than you expect, if you use it often (or even from time to time).
Also, I learned that you can ask it to forget about everything it knows about you. But does it really forget? Ugh, I'd like to believe…

@npub19mh…xv39 that’s one of the “pills hard to swallow”.
Even though we do electrification in transportation, it’s still better to reduce quantity of vehicles (e.g. by using public transportation, bikes and so on) instead of replacing all gas-based ones with the electrified models.
