I’ve found Brave Search to be quite good, especially the new AI summaries they’ve enabled. It’s got the ability to put your own filters or ranking rules on searches, which is neat. They have their own crawler, too so it really is independent from the big ones.

I don’t disagree that Bitcoin and nostr and other sides of the cube work together to increase human optionality (and I do think it’s good!) but optionality != freedom in its fullness

Looks really good!
Seems a bit unrelated to the work you’re currently doing…. But what about something like a dashed roundrect instead of a “?” for followers/follows/relays. The “?” seems to imply it is just unknown, the reality is it is “unloaded”, right? Perhaps there’s a better symbol that may invite someone to tap it to load.

What if you use nostr itself for this? simply publishing “bad actor” kind of notes. Relays could subscribe to such notes and automatically or manually with review apply the blocks. Clients could subscribe too. Decentralized and you’ve already got the messaging protocol for it done… NOSTR
