We are happy to announce the first beta release of Mastodon 4.3 🎉 11 months in the works, it is chock-full of improvements, the most prominent being notification grouping and new filtering capabilities, as well as extensive usability overhauls.
Please note that this is a beta, and the stable release is still to come. If you are upgrading your server to it, read the changelog carefully, and open GitHub issues if you encounter anything unexpected.

We just released security patches for versions 4.1, 4.2, and nightly. If you are using nightly, you can upgrade to nightly.2024-07-05-security. Please upgrade as soon as possible!

We are planning to release new Mastodon security updates for versions 4.1, 4.2 and nightly this Thursday, Jul 04, at 15:00 UTC. It solves multiple security issues, including a major one. We encourage server administrators to plan for a timely upgrade to ensure their Mastodon server is protected.

We are looking for a new member for our #Mastodon core team to work with [@Gargron](https://mastodon.social/@Gargron), [@renchap](https://oisaur.com/@renchap) and [@Claire](https://social.sitedethib.com/@Claire) on building the Mastodon #backend and web app!
This is a #remote #fulltime position and requires an overlap with the CET timezone.
Ideally:
- You are a #Ruby expert
- With prior experience in maintaining #opensource projects
- Prior knowledge of #ActivityPub is a big plus!
