@npub1v2s…mqq5 The good news is that the local right-leaning newspaper is reporting “the smallest crowd ever” of only 3,000 people. They also reported accurately on the Arnie Palmer story (and Palmer is near godlike around here), describing it as vulgarity. And that he used “curse words” to describe the vice president. It’s a sea change from the usual fawning gush that they have printed in the past.

@npub1hm8…4nty But I just heard that the shooter also donated $15 to ActBlue in 2021. So obviously the guy was a raging liberal. I mean, $15! C’mon!
I did wonder if that donation came right after Jan 6.

@npub1m6v…n9vs Grandparents are where I picked up the taste for black walnuts. They also used us kids for free labor. But we did get paid in chocolate chip cookies and brownies full of nuts!

@npub1m6v…n9vs Tough nuts to actually get to. A few years back I gathered two 18-gallon Rubbermaid totes of black walnuts in a friends back yard. A month to get them all husked down to the shells, then 9 months to get them all cracked and picked. When the friends called last year for me to come again, I passed.
