#Nashville PSA: There were no trolleys (streetcars) in the 'trolley barns' at Rolling Mill Hill. Nashville's Streetcars (which is what we called them) were phased out in early 1941, the same year those buildings were opened, for use by public works. The "trolley barns" are completely made up history. @npub1typ…c8hh one of my family friends sang on the original album. His story is hilarious, apparently in addition to singing extremely slowly, they had to enunciate the words very clearly. Otherwise you couldn’t understand it at speed. And the studio wall was a giant mirror, so they had to stop and re-record a few times because they were laughing at themselves in the mirror.
