I think because working with other people involves relinquishing some control, because you have to negotiate and do things others want to do too. It can feel like a lot of emotional energy, or even be scary. Whereas moving hundreds of miles and starting from scratch is "only" physical work (it's not, but we're not exactly talking realistic here). Shooting guns is the ultimate control.

@nprofile…lslt just 5? I've got a 3, and it could be better especially for close shots. I shoot a lot of insects and plants and the work pixel is way better for that.
The pixel can't compete on the stuff that matters though, I love my FF.

Guess people want the world to know it's their work. Also there was a post from an admin here complaining that AI scrapers aren't as smart as normal e.g. search engine scrapers and come back every 10 minutes to scrape the exact same data, costing his small instance ridiculous money. And stuff like this here, no I don't need my random musings distributed elsewhere.

in UK we have "cadets", which is kids playing at army, basically scouts with guns and military uniforms, parade etc. It is army propaganda whatever, but it's also pretty accepted and something for kids to do after school. My cousin's husband runs one. When my German boyfriend found out about it he was.. scandalised doesn't begin to cut it. Kids?? With uniforms and guns?? That's so fucked up! We stopped doing that kind of thing in 1945!

That's interesting, the other way for me. I wish my parents would have taught me to fight back. At least for me it was only verbal rather than physical, but I wish someone had taught me to stand up straight and sneer. "Just ignore them" does shit all when your body language isn't.
And my mum talking to the school helped a bit, but the Christian values I was taught (despite not being one) helped not at all. Being kind doesn't have to involve forgetting yourself. It gets better.

I guess the same reason a lot of main characters on TV & film run around with their heads unprotected while their minions or side kicks are properly covered - seeing the face makes a human connection. That principal combined with ignorance of the risks, I suppose.
