The clinical guidelines for diagnosis of ADHD require symptoms to be present before the age of 12 years old. Thus (at least in Australia) most Psychiatrists require either your school reports (don't have them anymore) or your parents to back up that you had issues at a young age. My mother especially will not admit to strangers that I ever had concentration issues as a child.

I'm saddened (but not surprised) by Google's decision to enable hate speech based on gender identity on their platform. The company joins a line of others waiting to kiss the feet of a president as much about them as how far he could throw them.
The only purpose of such a policy is to pander to, enable and embolden bigots. Allowing such speech to remain on the platform to stay published is almost certainly an illegal act in Australia if it is aimed at an Australian resident.

look, tbh the risk of spiders in Australia is a bit overblown.<li>Funnel Webs - will probably kill you.</li><li>Mouse Spiders - might kill you but probably won't.</li><li>Redbacks - <em>could</em> kill you.</li>
There's not been a spider bite death in Australia since the early 80s.
I find spiders pretty fascinating tbh - Wolf Spiders are my fave - unique in that they carry their egg sacks with them, and later their young on their back! Photo below showing this, though not an Australian species.

Our foster boy Ray is having a few issues that need rectification as a result of a tooth extraction which happened before he came into our care. The rescue organisation we're working with, Homeward Bound Hounds, has set up a Go Fund Me to raise money for Ray's corrective surgery as well as to help Bella, a fellow foster who is currently being treated for cancer.

We're a gaming-oriented server running the glitch-soc variant of Mastodon, so you get the Mastodon+ experience - everything you love about Mastodon but with lots of QoL tweaks, such as longer posts (up to 2048 characters!), rich text formatting brought to you by markdown, as well as lots of tweaks to make your experience in the fediverse a little nicer.
**The Rules**
We wish to run a friendly, kind and inclusive server, and do not have any tolerance for discrimination or bigotry of any kind, including but not limited to racism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia. It can be hard enough for people to be their true selves offline, let's not make it harder online too.
We also have no tolerance for the promotion or nazi, alt-right and ultra-conservative ideologies.
In the pursuit of accessibility, we ask users to add alt-text to their images for the advantage of those using screen readers to interact with us. However, we also do not tolerate abuse toward users who might forget to do so or aren't used to doing it yet.
**Legal Status**
All of our infrastructure and user data is held in Australia. We initially did hold some backup data in the USA for cost reasons, however in the wake of the US election result, and with the extreme risk those in vulnerable groups face, we made the decision to migrate this data back to Australia.

So Pokemon Gold and Silver turned 25 and that is a fact I *really* needed to know today.
All jokes aside, Gen II is definitely my favourite. While I've grown to love the Pokemon introduced from Gen III onwards, I feel that G/S' new additions were perfect fit with the style of the original 151.
Crystal is my favourite, but I still played a hell of a lot of Gold, too.

I've checked sidekiq, no errors being thrown so doesn't look like a server side issue. I've tried clearing cache and restarting my phone to no avail.

Spent some time this evening playing A Story About Birds, and what a lovely game! It has a nice, short and sweet yet strangely addictive gameplay loop.
There's no designs for agricultural domination here, just building a variety of different bird houses to attract a variety of wonderful avian life to your property.

There are currently a number of inquiries into the industry in NSW, among whistleblower criticism and the disgusting act of shutting their large rehoming facility on the Central Coast and firing all staff - a number of staff I now count among my good friends.
But the Labor Party, premier #ChrisMinns and racing minister #DavidHarris have already confirmed they will not shut the industry down regardless of the results of the inquiries.
So what's the fucking point of even holding inquiries then?

There are more #Greyhound racing tracks in #Australia than in the *entire* result of the world.
Even the US is ahead of Australia. There are only a couple of tracks in the US. There are 64 in Australia.
#MikeBaird could have banned this industry in #NSW in 2016. In fact he did. He could have turned the tide against this disgusting practice in the whole nation. But the coward backed down in the face of criticism from the Labor Party, and the racing and gambling industries.

Returned for another #TinyDaily today and built a little semi-ruined Moon Temple on a crescent-shaped island.
Once again, I am not artistic in the slightest. But it's good to just sit and build without worrying too much about anything. It's a really nice game to send 15-30 mins a day playing with no predetermined plan or desired outcome.

Giving some consideration to what I'll be playing this weekend. My two main games #CitiesSkylines2 and #SpaceMarine2 are both having issues (one due to a mod breaking my save, the other due to an update tanking the performance), so I need something to record for my channel. I was thinking I might go with #PlanetZoo and potentially either #Hitman or #Warhammer40k #Battlesector, but not sure yet. Need to give each of them a try on #Linux :D #GamesFTW

It seems pretty evident at this point that the current existential climate crisis threat is Generative AI. Maybe #Terminator was right after all, but instead of #Skynet going live and passing judgement on humanity as a whole, it slowly bled Earth's resources until there was nothing left?
Sort of allegorised in it slowly bleeding original thought from the internet, I guess?

Well, I know I did an #Introduction like two days ago, but I've migrated!
I've been very slowly working on setting up a new instance over the past few weeks, and I'm ready at this stage to switch myself over there.
There's still things to work out (Can someone tell me why my #Ceph #RGW / #S3 requests are randomly telling me they're a teapot???) but it's overall useable.
If a few people would like to jump on the instance (probably don't migrate yet) to test and shake it down, would appreciate.
