🔧 Just enter a silent payment address in the BitBoxApp, and the transaction is created together with your BitBox02.
The BitBoxApp then verifies the silent payment was created correctly by the BitBox02 for extra security.

🔑 This update also brings MiniTapscript, combining the privacy and efficiency of Taproot with the power of Miniscript. It’s perfect for creating more complex wallet setups like inheritance planning, while keeping transactions smaller and more private.

What is MiniTapscript?
Miniscript is a language that simplifies creating advanced Bitcoin spending conditions, like combining keys or setting time delays (great for inheritance planning).
MiniTapscript adds Taproot’s privacy and efficiency to Miniscript. Only the part of the script actually used to spend the coins is revealed, which reduces transaction size, lowers fees, and improves privacy.

Using a Bitcoin wallet is (almost) normal today, but when Bitcoin was first created, such wallets didn't exist.
Early Bitcoin users had to rely on rudimentary methods to manage and store their private keys, which were susceptible to high security risks.

For hardware wallets, these proposals meant that users could not only secure their Bitcoins more effectively but also enjoy greater ease in managing multiple accounts and addresses under a single device.
This reminds us of how Satoshi Nakamoto, by releasing the Bitcoin code, gifted the world one of the greatest technologies we have ever seen. However, developers have continued to introduce new updates to enhance its usability, and this will likely continue for decades, perhaps even centuries.
