my main gripe with fediverse people is acting like protocol/server limitations are good because it lowers the need for proper moderation mechanisms
"the search functionality being shit is good! it makes it hard for people to find others to harass"
"replies to a post being fractured is good! it makes it hard for people to dogpile"
"there being no way to auto fetch posts that were published in the past is good! it makes it hard for people to stalk others"
etc
what if instead having these bunch of usability problems as some ad-hoc moderation policy... there were actual moderation options per server/user for these kind of stuff
