So this is part of the US (And to a smaller extent, Global ) EDC thing where there's a certian subset of people who assume tha thtey're goignt o have to murder quite a lot of people gratuitously every time they get out of thier giant SUV to pick up thier starbucks.
They're obsessed with carrying multiple flashlights and knives to the point of self parody.

Ironically I just watched a video about this. They were stable, had a really great balance mechanism and could run on one rail of an existing track.
They never took off because they needed two huge flywheels per carriage!

A couple of years back, we had some big solar flares and a surprising number of British phone exchanges were toasted when the EM on the phone lines cooked the networking equipment.
This took down the internet for chunks of the Uk.

I hear that with right wing types it's Allways Projection.
Can't quite recall who keeps saying that, but that's because there's a rather handsome green glazed doornknob with it's little brass screws on display.
