The latest version of cleandesk.el, my small #Dired addon, adds support for Spotlight search (macOS only). If you invoke *cleandesk-search*, all files in the current (Dired) directory will be searched by a term you provide. The results are presented in a Dired buffer. If you invoke *C-u cleandesk-search*, the search expands over all Cleandesk directories (see the readme.org).

@npub1u2r…4urs Thanks! I might have figured out how to work around the remaining issues, still testing. The fix you linked to is really useful and with this orgrr should work correctly with all completion-frameworks (not just Helm and Vertico).
As for the prompt in completion-read: it seems to be required and cannot be nil.
