To handle any speculation or mysteries, what I have done is rented a really good and large office at a solid price, which reduces my monthly costs enormously. Now, I'm in the process of going through items I've had in storage and either digitizing them, getting rid of them, or confining them down to a much smaller container.

So, everybody knows Nintendo didn't program Donkey Kong, right? They just didn't have the chops - they secretly contracted a company called Ikegami Tsushinki. It only came out when they made Donkey Kong Jr. off the same code and Ikegami sued them.
In 1996-1997, a japanese magazine published a column by a Ikegami developer about arcade work, including Donkey Kong. Kate Willaert crowdfunded a translation of it. Here it is:

I have TEMPORARILY gotten through all the VHS tapes within easy reach. A great day. I suspect there are probably a few small piles in my storage I need to reveal and uncover. But it's pretty amazing.
The UMATIC decks are in rough shape. Next is repairing them to clear out the remaining UMATICS. I assume nobody is sitting on one.
