I can't even imagine. I have to have a recovery day between runs or else my ankles and knees give me fits.Got some old USTA Tournament injuries from my youth that took their toll.

It’s a lot harder I’m finding at this age. Younger me would be doing half marathons by now and be like 150 pounds. I’m making progress but not quite as fast as when I was younger. As long as I’m making progress and my health is good that’s all that matters. 👍🏻

Cholesterol is the biggest change. It was well over 200 when I started trying get my health back in order at the beginning of the year.

Just got back from monthly checkup. Down another seven pounds, total cholesterol was 112, blood pressure normal. Needless to say my doctor is pleased with how far I’ve come since last year.

I actually follow the #Running hashtag as it’s good inspiration. I was up to five miles before I went on vacation for over a week so my last run was disappointing but it won’t take long to get back to where I was. Don’t know if I will ever be a ten mile every other day runner due to a bad ankle but I do enjoy the solitude of 5 AM runs.

I was trying to give blood once when I was really running a lot (like 10 miles 3-4 times a week) and they refused because my resting rate was in the upper 40s. Tried to explain I was a runner but they still refused.
I started running again a few months ago and my resting heart rate is already in the 50s/60s.
