I loved the idea way back when but no more chromeos in my life has been goooood.
Last year, I took two out-of-updates chromebooks and put ubuntu on one (for a family member) and batocera on the other. Much better 😉 Besides, removing the bios write protection screws and flashing them felt so 90s.
I also moved an older family member (from one of those) to a cheap-ass HP laptop with ubuntu+chrome on it. They barely noticed the difference.

I also see the "self-eradication" of some developers (outside the mainstream), trying LLMs instead of learning, thus producing even more outdated (& unmaintainable) CSS.
I actually wished we had slower feature rollouts on the web (slower-but-simultaneous across engines). But I also wished we could do something about the long tail of engine updates.
On a related note: I just removed an instance of @supports (display: flex) from a code base at work 😉

I can't figure out why I'm not unsubscribing. It seems to only have bizarro debates nowadays. And yet, I'm not. Not sure what's wrong with me. 😦
